Zeenat Kureshi Honoured at Jamiatul Quresh 100-Year Celebration for Global Contributions

New Delhi:
Marking a century of service, solidarity, and empowerment, the All India Jamiatul Quresh hosted its Centenary Celebration at the India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi, bringing together dignitaries, community leaders, and changemakers from across the country.

The event commemorated 100 years of Jamiatul Quresh’s legacy — an organisation deeply rooted in values of unity, ethical leadership, and social upliftment within the Qureshi community.

Among the prominent personalities felicitated was Zeenat Kureshi, Trade Commissioner (GCC) and acclaimed Indian film producer, recognised for her remarkable efforts in community empowerment, global representation, and for promoting cultural dialogue through cinema.

Expressing her gratitude, Kureshi described the moment as “a matter of immense pride to be part of a milestone that honours our elders’ vision of unity and progress.” She further noted that such recognition brings with it “a greater responsibility to nurture opportunities for the younger generation and strengthen our community’s global engagement.”

The centenary gathering also revisited the organisation’s century-long journey of economic initiatives, educational support, and social welfare programs, which have played a vital role in community development and collective advancement.

Speakers and senior representatives outlined the organisation’s vision for the next century, focusing on education, entrepreneurship, and leadership-building as key pillars of growth. Several contributors were also honoured for their national and international impact.

Reflecting on the event, Kureshi called it “a powerful celebration of our shared heritage, unity, and purpose,” and reaffirmed her dedication to continue promoting youth development, empowerment, and global representation.

The ceremony concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the timeless values of trust, cooperation, and progress, ensuring that the next 100 years of Jamiatul Quresh shine even brighter.
